AlpacaLogo2[1]The goal of Boundary Waters Alpacas is to raise Huacaya Alpacas
by maintaining high breeding standards and selecting alpacas that
will enhance the quality of our foundation herd. Our herd sire is
an El Bello son and a Hemingway grandson. It is important to us to
contribute to the fiber community by monitoring the fiber quality with
yearly analysis of the fleece from each alpaca.  We welcome your
inquiries and visits as you consider investing in the alpaca business.

Boundary Waters Alpacas is located in Ely, Minnesota near the Boundary Waters Canoe Area
on the shores of Shagawa Lake.  We presently have 10 alpacas with three bred females, 2 yearling
females, 2 yearling males, a potential herd sire, Tucker Creeks€™ Romeo born in July 2006 and our
present herd sire, NWA AATC Tuckers King Richard.  We invested in our alpaca herd in 2006 as
a reinvestment from the sale of our real estate business.  It has proven to be the most
enjoyable farming venture we have been involved in as well as an investment with good potential.

Having our alpacas qualify for the Ideal Alpaca Community gives us an opportunity
to promote the genetics of quality alpacas by carefully monitoring our breeding program.

We welcome the opportunity to visit with you about getting started in
the alpaca business or adding to your existing herd.

Give us a call or send an e-mail and we will promptly respond to your request.
